 Mary Magdalene – the First Witness 

Big Idea: God chooses ordinary people to share extraordinary news.
Memory Verse: “I have seen the Lord!” — John 20:18

We are still thinking about Easter and Jesus’s resurrection. Today our Giant of Faith is Mary Magdalene - who was the first person to see Jesus after his resurrection. She ran to tell the disciples she had seen Him alive and is sometimes called “The apostle to the apostles” 

We are also called, as ordinary people, to tell others about Jesus, how much he loves us and that he died for us. 

We made a sensory garden with Jesus, an angel and Mary Magdalene, made badges reminding us that we are called by name by God, and made megaphones to remind us that we can share the good news of God’s love. We also painted another of our tiles for our Giants of Faith Banner.
